This Pyrography Kit includes the USA Made Colwood Detailer, one of the most popular wood burners in the pyrography community. With consistent, reliable heat and the ability to burn soft and hard woods, this burner is a versatile choice that fits in the budget.
The Detailer comes with a handpiece cord that is perfect for helping you get dark burns and fine details. The terminal where the cord connects to the Detailer makes for a solid heat connection and easy cord changes.
Along with the Detailer, this wood burning kit for beginners has a replaceable-tip handpiece (also known as a wand or pyrography pen). Since I have about 4 other cheap burners, I expected this one to be the same, I was wrong. I love this machine, it is as easy as it looks on burn savvy videos. I find I will use it between 4-8, although 8 may be too high for my liking. This machine heats up and cools down very quickly, I was so amazed with this machine now I can learn with confidence and I used this machine on a 330w portable power station and it didn't register it used power, exactly as I liked, I can now take my burner anywhere with me even in the woods, by a lake, places where no power exists. Yeah yippee.
Being a newbie to the Pyro vibe I must say the "Detailer" is amazing! It's a serious piece of equipment along with the tips and ect. Yes, there are cheaper burning kits out there but if you want something that is built to last and delivers superb quality the Colwood "Detailer" definitely won't disappoint. Thanks Burn Savvy!
I'm happy with the beginning wood burning kit - it offers a good mix of tools I can use immediately and learn with, while having the Colwood detailer means I have a wood burning device that I'll be using for a long while.
I'm also very happy at how it was packaged - everything was secure and safe.
I have only used the wood burner a few times but ver pleased so far. Like the adjustment for heat as it allows for different types of wood. Burns hot enough that I don't get the "skip" from the wood grain changing. Would like to get more tips to try.
The Colwood Detailer burner was just as I hoped. A next level tool for me to create with. Thank you!
