Fun, fun, fun!

I've been building wood toys for my grandson for a few years now and so far this has been the most enjoyable. The plans are, for the majority, measured drawings not patterns or templates which can make a project a little too easy. The detail is tremendous, and with a little creativity selecting materials you get a really impressive piece. I took a star off because a few purchased items are speced out...Wheels, steering wheel, axle pegs and the like. That's cheating! The plans are nine 18"x 24" sheets. Most assemblies are shown as typical mechanical drawings, front, side and top with a few isometric projections for completed sub-assemblies. If you've never dealt with plans like this you might be a little intimidated initially, but all the info is there so take it one page, one assembly, one piece at a time and it will all come together for you. Yeah, this has been as satisfying as any woodworking project I've done so I recommend it highly. Good on ya Bear Woods, good on ya!

I would like to see packages made up of all of the parts and pieces that I could purchase, which are required to complete these projects. I have purchased three patterns as Christmas gifts and would have liked to include the completer pieces as part of the gift without having to purchase large quantities of these items.

This is our first time ordering from this company but I;m completely satisfied with the customer service and quality of the product. I would suggest ordering the parts also. We just started building the fire engine but it has been easy to follow the instructions/blue prints.

Not for the faint of heart. A couple of dimensions missing from cab side panels (dwg 92-6). Seat base and extension a little tricky. Should have mentioned the dowels inside of dowels. Fun so far. Learning how to make jigs.

Pattern is easy to follow. I am using it mostly for scale reference. My brother in law is a retiring fireman. As a gift I am making a replica of the truck he used on the job. I could not do it without the plan.

great quality plans . again wish I could cut them in copy paper sizes to make copies of so I wouldn't have to cut up these plans. I will probably cut them and make masonite patterns for them for future use
