I love these blades! I had been using a variety
of Olson blades on my cheap Ryobi scroll saw and not getting very good results. After reading some reviews I decided to try the Pegas #5R Modified Geometry Blades and I can hardly believe the difference! They cut super fast and smooth! They also last 3-4 times longer than the Olson blades I had been using.
This was my first order with Bear Woods and I couldn't be happier! Great customer service with great communication. My blades arrived very well packaged and in a timely manner. Overall I am really impressed with both Bear Woods and the pegas modified geometry scroll saw blades!
I am very pleaded with the quality of the saw blades. These were out of stock when I ordered them so delivery was delayed. However their customer service was great as they offered to send me different blades if I didn't want to wait a week. I decided to wait since I wanted the #5 size blades. They arrived as promised and I was really impressed with the sharpness, quality, and length of life. Will be a repeat customer for sure!
I have always had a problem with scroll saw blades , mainly because they just couldnt handle the hardness and thickness of the woods that I use. Breaking and bowing, which is a nightmare for puzzle making. Geometrically Modified blades have solved this problem and well worth the price of having them shipped all the way to south Africa. And great service too. Can highly recommend .
These MG Blades are incredible! They track accurately and offer outstanding finishes on both hardwood and softwood projects. That means no follow-up with sandpaper was necessary. A huge time-saving benefit. No more trying to save money on 'cheaper' Blades... the quality of materials and manufacturing means these are the most cost-effective solution for serious Scrolling.
I am fairly new to scrolling, and have tried many blades already, and Pegas MG blades are my favorite! These blades cut smooth and easily around all of the woods I have been using, including Cherry. Bear Woods is my favorite place order, having tried other places that supply these. Shipping is great and very timely! Thanks BearWoods and Pegas for the great blades.
These are the best blades! I have a drawer full of other brands that I don't use. These cut straight and smoothly. This is my second order of 144. My local Woodcraft salesman recommended them, but they had a poor stock. I was glad to find Bear Woods and am happy with their delivery. The description of the blades is 100% correct.
My order of one gross of the Pegas #5 Scroll Saw Blades arrived quickly and I began using them the same day. The tend to stay sharper than the blades I have been using for the past several years and they run true. Good service from Bear Woods, and a quality product. I will be buying from BW again.
Bought the sample packs of these blades to see how they would work for me. I loved them so much I came back and bought a bulk pack. They cost a fraction of what the blades I was using cost, and give a far superior cut. Thanks Bear Woods! And thanks for the fast service.
Cut so much cleaner that the #5 skip-reverse from Olson that I'd been using. They are less forgiving of a poorly adjusted chuck than a larger blade, but that's the nature of smaller blades. There's a LOT less sanding with these than what I'd been using.
This order was as requested. I use these blades for stack cutting 6 pieces of1/8" Baltic birch plywood. They cut the detailed portions very well and thy cut straight so you don't have to guess about which way to push the wood. Really great blades.
Best blades I have found.
Like the fact they cut without drift.
Hold the sharpness.
I'm currently cutting an image out of the spine of a book and they work great.
Thanks

The #5 R blade is better than the Flying Dutchman UR #5 that I have been using. The only complaint that I have is I ordered 1 doz. (which I received) and was charged for 12 doz. See Invoice # 13591
Great blade. This is my second order of this blade, like the first 3 dozen so much I ordered a gross this time. I use them for lettering as well as for the outside diameter cuts on my projects.
Pegas Modified Geometry blades are the best. They run true and are easy to guide. Fast cutting and controllable. Cutting small patterns are a breeze. Much better than Flying Dutchman.
To me the shipping time needs to be improved. Took almost three weeks to get to me. Other wise the product is very good. Will order again but I hope the shipping time is better.
Our responseThanks for the feedback! We find the small packet service can take up to 10 business days. Weekends add up the time. We also offer a tracked packet option and UPS which have better delivery times. Glad the product met your needs. Please come again.
Used FD blades along with various others I had to buy locally and then tried Pegas modified geometry #5 blades. Pegas cut smoother and lasted longer than all others.
The Pegas Modified Geometry blades are one of my go-to blades for thicker material. Cuts the straightest line I've seen and does equally as great on tight curves.
The #5 modified geometry is my “good to†blade. I work with either finer (#3) or thicker and sturdier (#7 & above) as needed. Love love love how they cut.
Of all the blades I have used over the past ten plus years, Pegas blades are by far the longest lasting and best cutting for both fret and straight cuts.
Good product. No complaints.
Only issue is delivery time... not the fault of Bear Woods, just the reality of our times.
Thanks Bear!

These blades have been a game changer for me. They cut like spiral blades, but unlike spiral you can hold a straight line. Long lasting, love ‘em.
The Pegas Mod Geo Blades make cutting fun again. I have given some to my scroll saw friends and they we overwhelm with the difference .
These blades are the best ever. Not only is this product great, but customer service at Bear Woods is unparalleled.
Very nice blades. They cut well and they are very long lasting. They even bend (oops) and recover nicely.
I cut a lot of oak and other hard wood and this blade was sharp and cut extremely well.
Love these blades and always appreciate customer experience I receive from Bearwood.
Great blade for most types and thicknesses of woo if you use the correct saw speed
Your scrollbar blades are the best. Thank you for the great service
