My Grandfather had a scroll saw in his shop I guess this is why I always had one too. When I would use it on a project I was always disappointed with the results and time it took to make the cuts. Always a lot of sanding was needed. After the last 50 years of being disappointed I had a project really suited for a scroll saw. I saw the advertisement for Bearwood and the blades they sell well the best money I ever spent. They are everything they claim and I am now looking forward to the next project. Product Great, Service Great, Delivery Before Expected. Until next time, soon, Thanks Jerry
I normally only use spiral blades but needed to do a large plaque with allot of lettering.. Wanted those really clean and crisp corners. Gave this blade a try and I couldn't be any happier.. Exactly what I needed.. I'm a very happy scroller.. and I have a very happy customer.. These blades run extremely smooth allowing me to maintain a level of control to be dead on line with very little effort.
I have used Pegas blades for several years, and I find them to be superior to the other popular brands. The tooth set helps the blades cut in a predictable track rather than drifting. They also seem to stay sharp longer than other brands. If these blades had some indicator of which end is up, as at least one other blade manufacturer does with a crimped end, I would easily rate them five stars.
The Pegas modified geometry blades are the best I have ever used. The #3 blades cut through half inch walnut like butter with a sand free cut. The blades also last longer than any other brand I have used. Best quality and value for the money. I received the blades a week before I was expecting them. Bear Woods is awesome, and I won't be buying supplies from anyone else in the future.
I am very pleased with the quickness of the order of scrollsaw blades that recently received. Having ordered frommyiur company before, I knew that I would not be displeased at all. I have found that the Pegaus scroll saw blades are fantastic to use. They cut cleaner and I can slow my cutting speed down and still cut at the same pace due to the aggressive but smooth cutting.
I really like using these blades. I am able to stay on the line as the blade does not have a tendency to track to the right off the line. I can also cut at a faster speed setting with my saw. The blades feel as thought they remain sharper longer and make clean tight turns. I do not have a problem with breaking blades. I will definitely be buying more when these run low.
Someone a long time ago said there was a big difference between Pages blades and all of the others. They were right. These can cut straighter, and make very sharp turns. I have used the Pegas blades ever since and never looked back. I am reminded of the difference every time I dig into my old stock of blades for a style of blade I do not use very often.
I recently ordered the 3R Modified Geometry Blades. I received them within 5 days of ordering, which is great service. I tried them out this week on a project I was doing, and was I ever happy. They track very well, with a nice straight cut, easy to turn on even sharp corners. I already can tell you this will not be the last time I order these blades.
I new to scroll sawing so I tried these blades and find that it is easier to control straight cuts. I wish that Bear woods would mail the blades rather than shipping them. I ordered 12 each of the R3 & R5's just to try out since I'm a new at scrolling but the freight was almost as much as the blades. It doesn't seem right if you want repeat customers.
I have been cutting 3/4 wood with #3 and #7 and very satisfied. I do suggest that since they use larger pilot bit sizes that Bear either inform the buyer and or sell the bits. They are larger than other brand of bits in similar sizes. I did find the bits #54 and #56 though at good prices. 5 *s out of 5 for the bits. Will buy again.
You guys are great! My order for Pegas scroll saw blades was processed and shipped right away. I received them within the time you said they would arrive. Just as Steve Good says, they are superior other blades in their price range. I am very pleased, and will be ordering from you in the future.
I purchased these blades (recommended by Steve Good) to cut down on the frizzies on the back of the piece I'm cutting and I am amazed at how little fuzzies there actually are, Awesome blades, would recommend them to any one who needs a good quality blade and delivery was right on time(2 days)
It's always a pleasure ordering from Bear Woods Supply Company. Thanks for always having the most amazing customer service and fast shipping. As always, all items are as described and shipped in a package to protect the items. Thanks Bear Wood and I will be making another order soon!!!
I have ordered these blades before. Received them in good time. Like these blades a lot and I have trust in them. Thank you for your service to us in the scroll saw world.
Also, I have not tried the sanding strips from this order. I can only say they look to be in good shape.
I have been scroll sawing for several years and have really not been satisfied with the quality of my puzzles. The modified geometry blades are a difference maker. I will not go back to the blades I was using which were a national brand name and highly rated. Seeing is believing.
As I have had some health issues that have limited my time in my basement workshop, I have not used any of the items that I ordered.
I can easily say that I am very happy with your prices and speed of delivery on the items that I ordered.
Thank You
Mark Barr
This order was as requested. These blades are great for puzzles from thicker woods such as 3/4" pine. They are thick enough to allow for any change in kerf squareness due to not pushing the wood straight into the blade which is easy to do when cutting puzzles in thicker wood.
Learning to use the MG blades and like the way they cut and not leave an edge.
The tension head is great but I don't know why I have to reset the tension while still in the cut.
Noticed on the bill I was charged for shipping costs, please explain.

Got an order from Bear Woods to try out some of their blades and they are very good. Have not done much cutting with them but so far they work out great. Also pretty good prices and pretty fast shipping coming from Canada. I will definitely be ordering more of these !
I ordered #3R an #5R Pegas Modified Geometry scrollsaw blades. Best on the market in my opinion. Bear woods quickly shipped my package to me in time for me to cut a couple of very special ornaments in time for Christmas. Appreciated their timely shipping schedule!
These are the best scroll saw blades I've ever used. The cut isn't overly aggressive allowing for better control and they cut straighter requiring less horizontal compensation to follow a line leading to longer blade life and square cuts due to less blade bowing.
I can't say enough good things about Bear Woods. Since finding them through Steve Good @ scrollsaw workshop I have been extremely satisfied. Any problems have always been handled promptly and without issue. I would strongly recomment them to anyone
This is my second purchase of these blades. I am cutting fretwork in 1" stacks of poplar. the #3R blades cut fast and easily make spot turns. They also remain sharp much longer than competing blades. Significantly better than PGT ir Mach blades.
really like your blades , with one exception, they continually popped out of the bottom of my blade holder, now i have been scrolling for many many years and rarely have i had this problem. would order again if i could find out why they pop out
I am very pleased with the modified geometry blades. They cut straight and stay sharp for a good long time. Even cutting in thick wood. I cut a lot of 3D stuff in 1-1/2" square stock. Even in cherry with no burning the corners.
These blades were purchased after watching a review by Steve Good. Compared to the basic blades I had from a big box, these are smaller, and easier to control. Will have no problems ordering more, and different styles of blades.
Unfortunately, my scroll saw motor has malfunctioned and I'm awaiting parts to be delivered. Once I get this working, I'm looking forward to comparing these with my current blades. The service getting the blades to me was super.
I'm scrolling chess pieces. The walnut and maple is
1 1/2 inch thick. The modified geometry blades (no. 3 and 5) are fantastic for this project. Hard to believe that small blades can cut thick wood, but they can.
Pegas modified geometry #3 blades cut better and leave smoother edges requiring less sanding and last longer than other blades I have used. Flying Dutchman blades are good, but for what I cut, the Pegas is better.
I am very happy with this product These are the best blades I've ever used I don't know why it took me so long to try them. These are 5 star all the way in my opinion These are 5 star all the way in my opinion
I was perfectly satisfied with my order of Pegas MD blades. My order actually arrived earlier than expected. Love the site and I recommend it all the time to fellow scrollers. Keep up the good work. Thanks
I tried Pegas #3R blades on the recommendation of a friend and was impressed the way they stay sharp and cut clean. I was cutting stacked white oak and having trouble with Olson blades not doing the job.
Blades are better than expected. They are stronger and last longer than the blades I had been using. I am a no ice at scrolling. Any small improvement really makes a difference, in ease of use and time.
Having used a different blade for 14 years, I find
it very hard to get used to the Modified Geometry. They are a very sharp and long lasting blades. I will keep trying to get used
to them.
The Pegas modified geometry blades are truly a great product at any cost. They leave the cutting areas looking very neat and orderly. It seems too that cutting a straight line is easier as well.
I have been using Pegas Modified Geometry blades for about 5 years and find the smoothness and control of the cutting to be better than any blades I’ve tried. I have been scrolling for 25 years!
Love the service and communication. Best all around and I’m hooked on these blades, I like to stack my wood and when working on anything with an intricate design these blades are the greatest.
#3 blades cut fast and got more tpi so they don t leave hardly any fuzz on bottom of cut. wonder if any other blade would cut as fast or faster on burch plywood?
I am enjoying my new blades. I had tried something different but they were brittle. these new blades work well with the work that I do. I do some cutting up to 52 mm.
Ordering was easy! This is my second order with Bear Woods and order arrived fairly quickly considering where they are coming from! Great company to deal with!
I've been ordering from these great people for over a year now and all I can say is I wish all companies had this kind of service. Always right and always on time.
I have been using the Pegas modified geometry scroll saw blades for a few months and find them to be the best blades I have ever used. fast and precise cutting.
used other blades sharktooth, olsen , these by far are the best no smoking when cutting like other blades .. plus they seem to last longer and cut like butter
Enjoyed ordering was easy. Only one hitch they put me down as express so I couldn’t track, even tho I paid for that but they were excellent at resolving it.
If the 3r blades are anything like the 5r blades they will be tough to beat. Hopefully they will be a good choice for cutting acrylic sandwiched in plywood.
Had these before and I am well impressed with them. Items not yet delivered. I do realise the delay is caused by shipping and I can still wait, no problem.
They were very much what I was looking for. They allow me to have more control which provides me with better looking edges and wall of cutting areas.
Pegas modified geometry blades are great! Long lasting, smooth cutting. Good prices, fast shipping, Bearwood is THE place to get scroll saw supplies.
I have used modified geometry blades before but this time tried a smaller size for fretwork. Still very pleased with them. Order arrived promptly.
The Pegas Modified Geometry blades are my go-to blades. I don't use a lot of the #3 size, but I purchased some so they are on hand when I need them.
Scrollers Micro Drill Bits and Adapters to use them with your drill.
Work lights to clamp to your saw | A Square to make sure your blade is square.
Ready for more fun? Try a Rotary tool from Pegas - with attachments for finishing, adding details and even carving. They are better than Dremels, lighter weight, easier to change bits and variable speed (with a foot pedal)
