14" Black Spade Style Hands
This spade style clock hand is modern yet sophisticated. Our steel clock hands for high torque motors can be spray painted different colors, and trimmed as long as you keep them balanced.
Tips for making larger wall clocks:
1. Second hands not included - we don't recommend second hands with high torque movements as they draw too much power.
2. Still want a second hand? - choose our balanced 10 inch red or black second hands that work with our Continuous Sweep High Torque Motors.
3. Scroll down to choose a movement to go with your hands. Or, click here
4. The length refers to the minute hand, measured from the center of the hole to the tip of the hand. Hour hand is proportionate.
If you are going to trim the hand to fit a particular size clock dial, the minute hand must remain balanced. Normally people just glue the material removed right under where it was cut from. You can check the balance of any minute hand just by placing the mounting hole on your fingertip. If it lays there flat then it’s balanced, but if it falls off your fingertip, it’s not properly balanced.

After having ordered an expensive, custom clock (from another company), and going through 3 non-working movements, I came upon Bear Woods website.
There I found my solution (a high-torque movement and properly-sized hands). It was easy to order, and worked perfectly upon installation. It takes a while, due to the international mails, to get one's order, but it's well worth the wait!
Nice job Bear Woods. I'll be back with any movement or clock needs I have in the future!

Great shipping and right to my door. Parts were just as ordered and work well however, one of the clock mechanisms was missing the small rounded nut that holds the minute hand to the threaded rod. Otherwise, definitely the place for clock parts. Similar to other on-line orders, there shouldn't be any shipping costs associated with orders. I don't pay for any shipping for all bike parts from the UK to Canada, clothing retails, etc. or I wouldn't shop there.
I am delighted with Bear Woods Supply. My order was correct and came very quickly and appear to be good quality. And the staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating with answering my questions.
