If you have some fine line designing, veining etc to do and you don't want the drill hole to show then using the smallest bit you can stand is the way to go. The #70 are of a length to fit into a small rotary drill and work well for drill to 1/2 inch. they are too small for anything thicker than that in my opinion.
I have only used on one project in soft wood. I will have to see how it goes but giving a good rating so far.

These drill bits work perfect for the fretting with the scroll saw. I'm new to this hobby and the right tools for the job sure improve the quality of the project and reduced my frustration level. Highly recommend Bear Woods. P.S. was delivered in a timely manner and very well packaged.

Pleased with the bits but really needed them to be longer for drilling through thicker material.
But for the price I'm not complaining I'll just use them for thinner stock and shop for longer bits.

I love the micro bits. The price was great. They came wrapped in wax paper. The others I’ve gotten from another company came in a plastic tube, which is much easier to store and use. Will order again.

Bought these drill bits but have not tried them yet as I do not have a chuck small enough to accept them. Waiting to purchase the Scrollers Drill when available again to use them.
