Clock Parts Installation Tip:
The soft gasket mounting system allows you some flexibility about the size of the actual mounting hole. You can adapt these clock inserts to a larger 3-1/4 inch hole size by removing the soft rubber gasket, and wrapping the back of the insert with plumbers Teflon tape or electrical tape to “build up” the back of these insert clocks.

Nice looking 3 1/2†clock insert. I used a 3 1/4 forstner bit to drill to required depth which left it too loose in the Burl slab setting, but got it to fit nicely by increasing the back diameter with a few windings of duct tape. Would buy it again for similar application.
