All Bear Woods Dowel Rods are kiln dried, clear, smooth, straight and accurately sized. Our eighth inch by twelve inch Premium Hardwood Birch Doweling is made from high quality wood, and is North American made. North American made Dowel Rods are made with a higher quality and standard than those imported.
Twelve inch Dowels are excellent for multiple applications, and are well made craft dowel sticks. These 12" Dowel Rods are well made craft dowel sticks.

The product is more-or-less as described and met my needs. By more-or-less, I mean don't expect the diameter of this tiny dowel to be spot-on and don't expect it to be precisely round. It's close enough and definitely good value for the price. You can't see the out-of-round just looking at the dowel or the finished item, but you can see it when you stick it into a drilled hole. If you want to cut it to length without chip-out, you'll need to make a jig to support it all around as the blade passes through. The jig is a piece of scrap wood with a hole in it of the same diameter as the dowel.
I'm glad to have found these. I can't get real birch dowels at my local hardware store any more - it's all poplar from China. The 12" length makes them easier to store neatly.
The order was filled and sent quickly.
But.... I ordered 4 bundles of 1/8†dowel but I received 1 bundle of 1/8†and 3 bundles of 3/32â€.
What do I do about that?
They are excellent and I've completed the job flawlessly using them. I'll be ordering more dowels from you in the future. Many thanks.
